If your grass is still wrapped or rolled, this is completely normal. For transport and courier handling, the grass is tightly folded and rolled. Once fully unwrapped and laid flat, it will relax back to its correct dimensions.
Pile height depends on the product you choose. For example, a 40mm grass has fibres measuring approximately 40mm from the backing to the tip of the blade.

Sand infill is not essential. If you prefer to add infill, kiln dried silica sand is recommended for best results.
This is usually caused by packaging or foot traffic. Brushing the grass with an artificial grass brush or power brush will lift the fibres and restore its appearance.
- Lay the grass flat and allow sunlight to warm it
- Apply gentle heat using a hairdryer or heat gun on low
- Weight down creased areas
- Brush fibres regularly in multiple directions
- Use a light spray of water combined with warmth
